Here, we will learn how to use the Excel engineering function: CONVERT.

CONVERT function

The Excel CONVERT function converts the given number in one measurement system to another. For example, to convert 132 lbs to kg, you can use CONVERT like this: =CONVERT(132,"lbm","kg") that returns 59.874. The function can be found in all the versions of Excel. CONVERT takes the arguments like this: (number, from_unit, to_unit), all are required. Number accepts the numeric value to convert. From_unit accepts the original unit of measure for number. To_unit accepts the unit of measure that you wish to convert number to. The function always returns the result in the numeric format.
